I met a great gal a couple of days ago who told me about her grandson who had won a swimming competition in Texas. He is 16 and a dwarf. She is a nurse and I asked her if stem cell research could be done in the subject of these dwarf births. Her answer was "yes". During the years of Bush 43 he threatened to hold all financing of stem cell research as to his Christian mind, it was murder to use embryo cells for research.
I remember growing up with my classmates whose parents had Parkinson's and how they shook badly until they had to be fed by someone else. They didn't seem to get into the final stages as these people do today. Kate Hepburn had the disease for years and was able to keep working, swimming and even playing golf. Today the people are bedridden having lost the use of their hands, eyes, and unable to swallow. (My husband died in a hospital with these symptoms.)
I am disgusted with our government pumping billions of tax payers dollars into the Middle East just to get oil and make money for themselves and then turn away from medical research. This came about when the fight against abortions hit our Congress.
In every step that I see from our Congress, they are forcing Christian values on the American People. Christian values have always meant killing heretics and they aren't about to stop now. I believe that the Tea Party members are members of this religious right and want every dollar of our tax money to promote Jesus Christ as our own leader. The mere fact that they promote torture of Islamic prisoners should be noted by all.
This is another example of the Christians living above the law. It will take America down from the inside.
