It boggles the mind to listen and watch the Hillbilly from Idaho/Alaska to run on and on about God and Guns which is setting herself up to run as a Republican.
I've been a party member since 1953 when I was 21. I have never in those years been so offended by some hick who believes that she can handle the White House. Her body language reeks of the streets and her gum chewing shows a lack of protocal in any level of government.
Starting in 2000 the GOP realizing they had no chance of putting Bush 43 into the white house without the religious wackos being brought in. Bush opened the party to men and women who had no idea what was involved in political issues. They came on line spouting the Ten Commandments as the Bill of Rights.
I am in a state of embarrassment over Sarah Palin and her popularity.

Australians could soon be facing a similar problem. The current leader of the Opposition could possibly win the next election and become our next Prime Minister. He is a conservative Catholic (studied for the priesthood) with all sorts of mad ideas about almost everything. Just recently, he declared that all Australian school children should be forced to read the bible Source

Is there any action the parents can take against this madness? I put my kids in a Christian school for 6 years until I realized there was no individual responsibility expected of the kids. They were born sinners and had to beg for forgiveness for the rest of their lives.
My husband was gone by then and I located a secular college prep that took over the education agenda. I took a second job to do this and would again to get my kids away from the guilt those Christians tried to lay on my kids.
The arrogance of the ignorance of those people is shocking and growing.
