Been away with a ton of paperwork. Off to study abroad. Pray for me. ;D
I'm Khan, any newcomers?

I know how prayer requests work. It's a good way to shirk responsibility. If things go wrong you can blame somebody else (for not praying hard enough).
...and we're not all gents.

Ok Gents and ladies. Seriously, a hard greeting is not the best of things to do.

Seriously, a prayer request on an atheist forum is not the best of things to do.
It's hard to tell if you are joking or taking the piss.
If you are an atheist, and you were making a joke, then I apologise for being curt.
Are you an atheist?

Yep. Why would I even try that? I was joking. I think you have been through a stressful week.

My group takes this subject very seriously. We understand that many use these sites for play. Also we have many women who participate in a Godless world as they understand that women will always be overlooked.
You can joke all you want but not with my presence.

Yup - I've mentioned this before. Inclusive language please, people (see, it's easy!) And while on the subject, please note that I'm very touchy about the term "retard" - not that anyone has used it on here.

I studied a broad once, a really smart one - learned more than I'd anticipated from her concerning cunning linguistics.

...and we're not all gents. I realize that our modern usage makes the word "gents" out to mean males of the species, but I seem to recall hearing women referred to as "gentlewomen", so "gents" could apply to both genders, could it not?
